Columbia Icefields Arena - Fields 1-6

Emergency Personnel:

Rugby - Certified Athletic Therapist or CASM physician present for all games student therapist present for scheduled practices and games

Soccer- CAT© present for all games, student therapist present for all scheduled practices and games

Baseball - CAT© in clinic during all practices, student therapist present for practices

Charge person - Primary therapist on scene

Call person - Secondary therapist/ coaches

Control person - Therapists / coaches

Venue Directions-

From the West - Columbia St to gravel path between Hagey Blvd and Westmount , can enter field via gate in parking lot, see map for field numbering

From the East - Columbia St to gravel path between Hagey Blvd and Westmount , can enter field via gate in parking lot, see map for field numbering

UW Campus Police will meet Ambulance at Columbia St entrance and direct to the fields

Emergency equipment :

Rugby and soccer- Supplies brought to games (Spine board, medical kit- airway equipment, emergency oxygen, splinting material)

AED available in tote desk at CIF- mainly for upper fields

Role of First Responders:

•  Immediate care of the injured or ill student athlete

•  Emergency equipment retrieval

•  Activation of emergency medical system (EMS) or designation of person to call EMS

•  call 9-1-1

•  notify Waterloo security 888-4911

•  Direct EMS to scene-security should do this at the gravel lot entrance

scene control: limit area to first aid providers only
