Physical Activities Complex

Emergency Personnel :

Basketball- CAT© present for all games, student therapists present for all practices and games, equipment centre staff present for all games, practices

Charge person - Primary therapist on scene

Call person - Secondary therapist/ coaches

Control person - Therapists / coaches

Venue Directions-

From the West - University Ave to Ring Road entrance- left then left on Ring Road to Physical Activities Complex on right, temporary parking at Red South entrance, enter via doors on south side at street level

From the East - University Ave to Ring Road entrance- right, left on Ring Road to Physical Activities Complex on right, temporary parking at Red South entrance, enter via doors on south side at street level

Waterloo security will meet Ambulance at either the Columbia or University St entrances and direct to the gym

Emergency equipment: AED available inside tote desk

Basketball- Supplies brought to all games( spine board, splints, collar, emergency oxygen)

All other sports- supplies available in the clinic if required- spine board, collar, oxygen, splints

Role of First Responders:

•  Immediate care of the injured or ill student athlete

•  Emergency equipment retrieval

•  Activation of emergency medical system (EMS) or designation of person to call EMS

•  call 9-1-1

•  notify Waterloo security 888-4911

•  Direct EMS to scene-security should do this at the Ring Road entrance
